Remembering should be intentional.

To make it ordinary to remember what you learn. Not to store more information — people already have more of that than they can use — but to turn a small, chosen part of it into knowledge that is still there in a year.

We read, watch, and take in more than any generation before us, and we forget almost all of it. The gap is not attention or effort. It is that nothing brings the material back at the point where reviewing it would have made the difference.

Make the smallest possible loop and make it good: write a card, review it, answer honestly, come back when it is time. Spaced repetition handles the timing. Everything we build has to earn its place inside that loop.

Simple tools, thoughtful design, meaningful learning. A study app should be calm enough to open every day, quick enough to use in the gaps, and honest enough not to dress up effort as a game.
